Opinion: Very, very pretty, but story really kind of lame. >.< Friend's comment: "It's like a Pocahontas rip-off." Still, very pretty indeed! Totally worth it.

that's not the first time unobtanium has been used to desribe an ore ina m ovie...see the Core with Hillary Swank and that guy who played Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight...

Apparently the word has been in use in engineering circles since the 1950s, and has even made its way into academic papers. It sort of means any wonderful but rare substance. I had no idea until I looked it up. So actually I guess it's not so unreasonable after all!
